‘NO SUCH THING AS TOO MUCH’, oil on canvas, is a contemporary reinterpretation of the sleeping Ariadne—a direct allusion to the concept of luxury and the perpetual insufficiency of pleasure and material abundance. There could always be more pleasure, money, material goods, experiences or rest. Never enough. What is the definition of luxury and its subjective perception: do I think I live in luxury, or do others think I live in luxury? Who lives in luxury and who does not? Finally – is luxury for everyone, or is luxury NOT for everyone?
